Mechanism of Action & Benefits
- Effectively prevents or improves bad breath, indigestion, constipation, and diarrhea when supplemented; reduces intestinal ammonia and sulfur compounds, noticeably reducing stool odor
- Rapidly consumes intestinal oxygen and produces multiple digestive enzymes (amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase, glucoamylase, etc.), improving digestion and absorption of high-meat cat diets
- Produces lactic acid and small amounts of acetic acid, inhibiting pathogen growth and stimulating peristalsis; combined with protease activity, helps soften hairballs and aid digestion
- Promotes immune cell and cytokine production, strengthening gastrointestinal resistance to parasitic infection
- Produces antimicrobial bacteriocins and lysozyme, directly killing pathogens such as E. coli and Salmonella; lactic acid bacteria establish long-term gut colonization
