Mechanism of Action & Benefits

• A nematophagous fungus used as a soil-applied bionematicide rather than an animal gut probiotic—part of our plant biofertilizer probiotic product line
• Parasitizes the eggs and adult females of plant-parasitic nematodes, including Meloidogyne (root-knot nematode) species, by colonizing the egg surface
• Secretes extracellular enzymes such as chitinase, degrading and breaking down nematode eggshells to allow hyphal invasion
• Following root colonization, releases bioactive metabolites toxic to various nematode life stages, reducing rhizosphere nematode population pressure
• Establishes a symbiotic relationship with plant roots, reported to improve nutrient uptake in addition to its nematicidal activity
• Used as an alternative or complement to chemical nematicides within integrated soil pest and disease management programs

Recommended Dosage

Recommended minimum inclusion: 0.1–2×10⁸ CFU per kg body weight, adjusted by target species. For feed inclusion, calculate from body weight and target intake.
