Mechanism of Action & Benefits

• Produces fusaricidin- and polymyxin-class lipopeptide antibiotics with broad-spectrum activity against plant fungal and bacterial pathogens, the basis for its use as a biocontrol agent
• Fixes atmospheric nitrogen through a well-characterized nif gene cluster and solubilizes soil phosphate, improving nutrient availability at the plant root
